In a decisive counter-terrorism operation named Operation Sindoor,

- the Indian Armed Forces carried out precise military strikes on Wednesday targeting terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
- The coordinated attack, involving the Indian Army, Air Force, and Navy, successfully struck nine key terror locations.
- four in Pakistan including Bahawalpur, Muridke, and Sialkot, and five in PoK.
- According to the Defence Ministry, the action comes in response to the brutal Pahalgam terror attack which killed 25 Indian citizens and one Nepali national.
